Endometriosis Awareness Month – Put an end to Endo!

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month and Endometriosis Australia held High Teas around the country, including Canberra with the aim of not only raising awareness and education about endometriosis but to also raise funds to help research endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a misunderstood women’s health issue among the community, and Endometriosis Australia has created a series of Endo myth busters that aim to dispel confusion.

It was good to see the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) supporting this through a social media campaign, and curating a Q&A with endometriosis and pelvic pain specialist, Dr Susan Evans which highlights common misconceptions and difficulties that health practitioners face when caring for women presenting with endometriosis.
