Productivity Commission’s Inquiry into Mental Health – Issues Paper released

The Productivity Commission has released an issues paper to guide people in preparing a submission to their Inquiry into the economic and social costs of mental illness (announced in October 2018). It sets out some of the issues and questions the Commission has identified as relevant at this early stage of the inquiry. Initial submissions are due by Friday 5th April 2019.

You can access the Issues Paper on the Commission’s website.

While there have been many previous inquiries into mental health in Australia, this Sydney Morning Herald story explains why the Inquiry is different from the other inquiries into mental health.
