I'm here for you

Inaugural LGBTIQA+ Domestic Violence Awareness Day

28 May is the Inaugural LGBTIQA+ Domestic Violence Awareness Day!  It’s a day to draw awareness to domestic violence occurring within LGBTIQA+ relationships and how that violence might be experienced differently, how to seek supports and how to be supportive. The Domestic Violence Crisis Service (DVCS) and Meridian (formerly Aids Action Council) want you to get involved by sharing awareness and letting your network know #ImHereForYou.

DVCS is an inclusive service supporting children, young people and adults impacted by domestic and family violence.  Meridian (formerly AIDS Action Council) provides services and programs to including counselling and wellbeing supports to diverse communities including LGBTIQ+ people, their families and allies and people living with and impacted by HIV. Meridian supports mainstream service providers and organisations to deliver LGBTIQ+ inclusive services.

Be part of the #ImHereForYou campaign, and read more about how you can support someone who has been impacted by domestic violence online.
