Welcome to the June newsletter.

June is always a busy time for us as the ACT Budget is released and we prepare for the end of financial year.   This year June was also a busy time for WCHM in the media with coverage of the launch of WCHM’s new report, Hidden Disadvantage amongst women in the ACT, of  WCHM’s findings from our current research about women’s access to abortion services, and about WCHM’s findings about what affects women’s feelings of safety in public spaces, after the tragic death of Eurydice Dixon in Melbourne.

June also means it is time to remind our members to renew their membership with the Women’s Centre for Health Matters for 2018-19 and to encourage others to become a member of WCHM.  Membership is free and you will need to complete and submit the 2018-19 Membership Form.

The form is available online to download from WCHM’s website, or you can use the online fillable form to renew, or start, your WCHM membership.  Just go to https://www.wchm.org.au/get-involved/become-a-member/

And if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to WCHM, the WCHM website is enabled to allow the transfer of donations online straight into WCHM’s bank account, and for us to issue you immediately with a receipt for the tax deductible donation.
