National Pain Week  was held from to 22nd to 28th July.  Chronic Pain Australia launched the results of their annual National Pain Survey which clearly explains the needs of people living with chronic pain.  Research shows that more women than men suffer from chronic pain (described as pain that persists for more than six months), and 84.9% of the respondents to the survey were women.  The results echo the findings by WCHM in our research with ACT women.

You can read the results of the Survey here.  And you can find out more about national pain week and access resources by visiting the National Pain week website, and by reading the following Jean Hailes for Women article.
