On April 9 the Federal Coalition Government released it’s National Women’s Health Strategy 2020-2030 and the announcement of increased funding for specific issues. They also announced that they would provide further funding of $52.2 million to improve women’s health in a number of areas including:
- $20 million for research to help Australian women in their fight against ovarian cancer with a focus on early detection; and
- Over $10 million for endometriosis to raise awareness of the disease and for research to improve the treatment and understanding of this often misunderstood condition.
