Nominations now open for 2021-22 ACT Ministerial Advisory Council on Women

Nominations are being sought from women from all backgrounds – including individuals and representatives of women’s organisations and peak bodies –who have a strong interest in the challenges and issues affecting women in our city and who are committed to help make a difference. Successful nominees will join the Council and collectively help to provide strategic advice to the ACT Government as an independent voice.

Members of the Council meet bi-monthly and raise and debate issues which matter most to women and girls in Canberra, as well as advocate for the advancement of women and the opportunities available to them.

Nominations are encouraged from all women to ensure the Council represents the breadth and diversity of our community. We are keen to hear from women with disability, women of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, people who identify as women, LGBTIQ+ women, women of different ages, and women from different locations across the ACT.

Nominations close at 5pm on Tuesday 15 September 2020. To apply, please visit the ACT Office for Women website.
